What is dark matter?
Everything you can see, stars, planets, your phone, your body… makes up just 5% of the universe. The rest is something we call dark matter. We call it “dark” because it does not shine. It does not reflect light. It is completely invisible. But we know it exists because of gravity.
Galaxies spin way too fast. Without extra invisible stuff holding them together, they would fly apart. Dark matter is that invisible stuff. And right now, billions of dark matter particles are passing through your body. You cannot feel them. They just keep going.
So did we finally find dark matter? Or is this just a glitch?
